Clinical Assistant Professor—Behavior and Learning Disabilities    (Log # 09-125)

The Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education at Georgia State University invites applications for a clinical assistant professor position in Behavior and Learning Disabilities to begin August 2008.

Candidates must have expertise in the area of special education. Candidates with experience in urban contexts or with diverse populations are encouraged to apply. An earned doctorate in special education and at least 3 years teaching experience with students with disabilities is required. College teaching experience and experience in practicum supervision is preferred.

Primary responsibilities include supervision of all field experiences for students in Behavior and Learning Disabilities certification and Master’s programs in Special Education, as well as some teaching and administration. The Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education is committed to excellent college teaching and to strong research programs that are externally funded.

Georgia State University, which is located in downtown Atlanta and has a diverse student body, is classified as RU/H (Research University/High Research Activity).
